Recently, on June 24th, three nationally acclaimed firms presented their visions and plans for how to use the site’s 4.5 acres for public use, and how they see development complementing the uses.  Now the process moves to the selection of one of the firms to continue their work towards a final design.

Public comments may be sent via email up until June 21st, and there will be a public comment allowed during the upcoming meeting.  Send your comments to Gregory Pease, gpease@coj.net who will circulate them to the selection committee.  The entire evaluation criteria is outlined in the RFP and includes a variety of factors.

The Jacksonville Daily Record summarized the presentations in Three Visions Proposed for the former Jacksonville Landing article, and they also did individual articles on each of the firms:  Agency + Landscape, Olin Partnership, and Perkins & Will.

The designs are not complete; so the firm selected will be tasked with additional design and we expect additional community engagement to get to a final proposal that we are excited to see built, and soon.
